Congratulations to Yinan Kong on his PhD degree award. Yinan's thesis is "Modular multiplication in residue number system". He has been appointed Level-B Lecturer at Macquarie University earlier this year

  Prof. David M. Harris of Harvey Mudd College visited CHiPTec for three weeks. His interests include CMOS circuit design and undergraduate engineering education. He presented a seminar on 'Undergraduate Education at Harvey Mudd College'.
  Propfessor Liangsheng Tan of Central China Normal University in Wuhan visited CHiPTec for one week to worked on a wireless networks project.
  Dr Yingbo Zhu will conduct a hands-on tutorial on the use of Cadence tools for analogue circuit design.

Professor Sri Parameswaran of UNSW visited CHiPTec. He presented a  seminar on "Heterogeneous Multi-Processor Pipelines: an MPSoC Story".

  Yuexian Wang, APA Aqilah Baseri and Yinhao Ding are new CHiPTec postgraduate students.
Apr 09 Congratulations to Justin Xu on his PhD award. His thesis is on "Software-centric and interaction-oriented system-on-chip verification". Justin plans to study medicine.

Professor Lark-Kyo Kim from Konkuk University in Souel is visiting CHiPTec for 12 months. He has done work in digital filters and control systems.

  Ali Karami and Si Tran Ngueyn are new CHiPTec postgraduates.
Jan 08 Professor Yeong Seuk Kim from Chungbuk National University University, Souelis visiting CHiPTec for 12 months. He has done work in semiconductor devices, power electronics and VLSI.
Dec 08 Professor Paul Franzon of North Carolina State University presented a seminar '3DIC Design and Applications' on Tuesday, 16 December 2008.
Oct 08 Professor Adam Osseiran of Edith Cowan University conducted a one-week Masters course on 'Microelectronic Testing and Design for Test'.
Jun 08 CHiPTec welcomes Associate Professor Christophe Fumeaux as CHiPTec member. Christophe's research interests are in computational electromagnetics, antenna technology and computational optics.
May 08 Professor Feng Yan of Northwewsten Polytechnical University visited CHiPTec for six months, working on localisation of wireless sensor networks.
Mar 08 Dr Anna Martini from the University of Trento, Italy visits Dr Tamath Rainsford for a month. She presented a seminar 'Wave Propagation in Random Media through a Percolation Model - Theory and Applications' on 18 March.
Feb 08 Ying Sun, Yikling Lim Robert Moric and Bin Guo are new CHiPTec postgraduate students.
Jan 08 Professor David Blaauw from University of Michigan is visiting CHiPTec for six months. He has done work in a very broad area of VLSI.
Nov 07 Dr Tamath Rainsford received the Stephen Cole the Elder Teaching Award. Congratulations Tamath.
  Dr. Said Al-Sarawi gave a presentation as part of the Sensors, Processing and Maths seminar series at the DSTO. The seminar is on the use of SAW devices for “Passive Wireless Sensors and Actuators”.
  Mr. Ed Bub of Geonautics International visited CHiPTec. Geonautics develops integrated electronic products for low enforcement agencies nationally and internationally.
  Zhining Lim, HDR student of CHiPTec, received an IEEE SA Section Travel Award to attend and give an oral presentation at the 41st Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers in Monterey. He also visited Tensilica Inc in Santa Clara.

Mr. Zulfiqar Ali of Universiti Sains Malaysia visited CHiPTec for two weeks. He worked with Dr. Said Al-Sarawi on oversampling ADC using delta sigma approach.

  Prof. Adam Osseiran of Edith Cowan University visited ChiPTec for one week. He presented a Masters course on 'Microelectronic Testing and Design for Test'.
Jun 07 Prof. Jinho Choi of Institute of Advanced Telecommunications, University of Wales Swansea presented a short course "Iterative Signal Processing in Communications" on 29 June.
  Dan Kelly, HDR student of CHiPTec, visited PA Semi Inc in Santa Clara CA to do a six-month internship.
May 07 CHiPTec welcomes Dr. Tamath Rainsford as CHiPTec member. Tamath's research interests are in elecetromagnetic propagation modelling and bio-inspired artificial vison in VLSI implementation.
