Research Activities
The Centre has attracted competitive research contracts and grants in the areas of advanced digital and analogue VLSI design, array processor architectures, software defined radios and smart sensors. Some recent projects including:

- Wireless microvalves for biomedical applications (ARC-Discovery)
- Residual number system hardware for public-key cryptography and E-security (ARC-Discovery)
- 3-D radar propagation model (DSTO)
- Ultra high speed optoelectronic data converters (DSTO)
- Matrix processor design and fabrication (ARC-Large, with DSTO)
- Support vector machine learning (ARC Project, with Lucent Technologies USA and DSTO)
- Very high precision counter (with Avalon Systems)
- Smart multi-element detector (ARC Project, with Britax-Rainsfords)
- FIR nonlinear compensator in very high speed communication channel (with DSTO)
