EXPERIENCE

2000 - 2001                     Ph.D. at Adelaide University
The aim of my work is to design and develop constrained lens to operate at mm-wavelengths. I hope to reach 94 GHz with high enough efficiency for the device to operate in a passive mode.

2001                                Telecommunications and Industrial Physics GaAa MMIC Design

Completed Introduction to MMIC Design Course.

2001                                 Defence Science & Technology Organisation (DSTO)

Contracted by DSTO through CBME to advise and assist in microwave altimeter design and testing.

2000                                Defence Science & Technology Organisation (DSTO)

Contracted by DSTO through CBME to carry out a mm-wave altimeter feasibility study.

1998 - 1999                     Forensic Science

Fourier-transform Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometer (FT-NMR) Fault finding and repairs to dysfunctional instrument which is no longer supported by the manufacturer (see Reference)
Waite Campus - Adelaide University Invited due to recommendations from Forensic Science to repair several problems with another FT-NMR at the research centre.

1999                                Union Building Steward - Casual

Responsibilities:

SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS

2001                                Upgrade to Ph.D. of Engineering
Accepted as a candidate for Ph.D. in Engineering.

2000                                Adelaide University Master of Engineering Science

Accepted as a candidate for the research component of Master of Engineering Science (2/3 Research).

2000                                CBME Ph.D. and Scholarship

Accepted with scholarship to undertake a Ph.D. under the title "Monolithic beamforming arrays for passive mm-wave sensing applications".

2000                                Adelaide University

Awarded Second Class Division A Honours for the Degree of Bachelor of Engineering.

1998                                Adelaide University Blue

Awarded for excellence in:

COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION

Electrical and Electronic Engineering Students of Adelaide University (EEESAU)

EEESAU specialises in providing services for Electrical and Electronic Engineering students. EEESAU is affiliated with IEEE and IEAST. EEESAU has an annual turn over of approximately $10,000.

2000 – 2001 Acting President Adelaide University Water Ski Club

The Water Ski Club organises ski days and weekends for its 120 members and various friends that come along. The club also organises a large number of social functions through the year. Assets including two boats and a block of land total $100,000, and a yearly turnover of $15,000.

2001 Management Board Member

2000 – 2001 Active Member

Adelaide University Judo Club

The largest Judo club in South Australia the Judo SA relies heavily on Adelaide Judo club when running both state and national events. Adelaide Judo club is the centre of competition Judo in South Australia, with Tony Clark (World blind Judo Campion), Chunjae Lee (bla times Australian over 100 kg, and open Campion), and Chelesa Ingle (bla times Australian under 52 kg Campion). With assets of $40,000 and savings of $35,000, a permanent part time coaching position, and turnover of $20,000, this club has been a great learning experience for me.

1999 - 2001 President

1999 - 2001 Coach

1998 Vice President

1996 - 1997 Management Board Member

University SA Judo Club
1997 - 1999 Secretary
University Sports Association 1998 - 2001 Active Member
