This project aims to

  • Optimise reliability and performance of the wireless LAN used by the school of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University of Adelaide. Optimisation is to be done remotely and without the need for hardware upgrades within the current access points.
  • Deploy IEEE 802.11g standard by purchasing new access points and optimise these new access points if feasible.
  • Deploy both Minitar and Linksys 802.11g Access Point if feasible.
  • Develop optimisation techniques that can be used by general public to improve the performance of WLAN.
  • Produce webpage which includes development process that had been done in the project.
