Seminar notifcation by e-mail

We now have a mojordomo list server to manage subscription for external email notification of upcoming research seminars. Notification is in the form of a text-only message containing full details of the seminar.

Please note that staff, postgraduate students and Level 4 students within the department will receive email notification of seminars anyway. Subscribing to the list server will result in multiple notices!

To subscribe

Simply email majordomo@eleceng.adelaide.edu.au with the following command in the body of the message

subscribe seminar

If you wish to nominate an address other than the email address from which you are sending the message, then specify that address

subscribe seminar alternative@someplace.net

Majordomo will then send an email to the subscription address with further instructions, including an authentication code which must be returned to confirm your intention to join the list.

To unsubscribe

If you ever want to remove yourself from the seminar list, send an email to majordomo@eleceng.adelaide.edu.au with the following command in the body of the message

unsubscribe seminar

If you are emailing from a different account, specify the address to be removed

unsubscribe seminar alternative@someplace.net

Trouble shooting

If you are having trouble subscribing or unsubscribing, or if you have questions about the list itself, send email to owner-seminar@eleceng.adelaide.edu.au. This will put you in contact with a human.
