1. Presentation of this week
• Speaker: Ben
• Talked about the Second Hormonic Generation
• We waited for the BBO crystal for more than one month
• Derek suggested that we may change the supplier
• Ben said he knew there is one supplier in the Europe
2. Discussion
2.1 Safety work plan
• Try to make people think about what we are going to do and when it will start
• Can make some action if there is something wrong
• So we need a defensive document
• Need to state the information clearly eg. When will it start/finish and the Buddy’s full name/ clear identify
• And how long you stay in the lab eg. 3hours (not just say in the weekend)
• Don’t need to know what exact experiment do we do but need to state the name of experiment
• All experiment should follow the SOP and RA
• Try to get the certain standard for all people
• High voltage power supply: stay in the Rob’s office for 3 weeks
• Add the forms which included the work plan, part inventory, SOP and RA to the online booking system
